Was all set to go and get my Pinarello FP3 (2009 frame and colours) with campag centaur grouset, Fulcrum 3 wheels, carbon FSA chainset when my LBS phoned to say he can build me a Cervelo RS (2010 frame) with full ultegra including ultegra wheels and an FSA carbon chainset with Cinelli carbon bars.

Whats the best choice? Ridden both bikes and like them both (although with slightly different groupsets).

I cant really tell much difference but I know the RS is supposed to be better suited to long all day rides coz of its lengthened head tube and more relaxed geometry?

You can do all-day rides on more aggressive geometry too. It's all down to flexibility, which your body can develop over time.

Similarly, if you got a more aggressive setup, you could always have a ton of spacers under the stem if you can't hack it.

    I'd go for the Pinarello.

    Why?

Ultegra is probably a better bet than shoddy Centaur

I'd go for Super Record. 8)

    I prefer the frame geometry.

Centaur is OK apart from the dodgy chainset.

    Cheers for the tips.

I thought that because the cervelo would not need spacers then it would steer better?
Also wondering if anyonbe knew which would climb better?

Yeah - go for the sit-up-and-beg sportive bike and you may as well get the basket on the front too!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
