Only a helmet, so not much customer service needed for that. I know people who shop there regularly and know the guys well, and they have a good reputation as far as I know. Tiny shop but full to the rafters.

A bit out of my way to shop there regularly.
  • Very knowledgeable staff, geared towards high end road bikes, triathlons etc. Huge stock + a big warehouse a bit further out of town. Surprisingly competitive website considering their size. They do a great bike fitting service etc. too, which I did last year.

It's best to call/visit during the week if you need specific attention, as it can pack out at weekends. Don't be put off if some of the staff are a bit un-smiley. They're not grumpy, they're just serious.

Not always the lowest prices, but good customer service. Always answer my emails in a timely manner and they ship quickly once you order.

Good store, I have known Jason and Ian since they started in Hinchley Wood in the early 90s. So, long standing store, mail order as already mentioned, successful move to prime location, sadly lots of high end bought by usual well heeled Surrey aerosols (ahem) that prices our hobby up and up. Although I buy from a variety of places I have nothing negative to say about Sigma save in the general bike sense.

By which I mean when I bought a new bike this year I travelled 150 miles to Epic instead of buying from Sigma, Corridori, Dauphin and many other highly though tof stores s but that's because Epic deliberately set themselves up to let you have proper test rides back to back, it's more like auditioning audio or AV from a decent dealer. I have a general dislike of the way we are supposed to feel grateful that we can ride a bike up and down the pavement at most stores and meant to feel they are doing us a favour.

Had to change some stuff ordered online due to incorrect size. Very quick service. Can recommend them
  • I've ordered off of them a few times now.

One order was placed on Friday afternoon and the goods were with me on Saturday morning without me paying a huge delivery charge.

The next order was over Christmas and arrived quicker than other orders placed at Wiggle and Primera on the same day.

    Good store IMO.

Lee from Sigma kindly phoned me back yesterday after the shop had closed to talk about the BG Fit service.

Just thought I'd search here to see if anyone else had their bike fitted with them. Good to see so many positive comments.

I did not buy a bike because I was not looking for their speciality - high end racers; but | have bought clothing and equipment. The have very wide range of both. On the two occasions I needed an exchange they were both courteous and effective. I am a happy customer.

I bought my current bike from there - but to be honest I'm not a big fan ... on the few times I've spoken to them I've always been given the feeling that unless you're looking at spending thousands they'd rather not bother.... Just my opinion ... but for me it's a bit like some people say about Condor as well.... Of course like any shop they have their fans and they do stock some great kit. I just wouldn't rush back now.... I'd suggest if it's not too difficult to get too that your friend goes and visits them first... He might love them.... I just .... don't. Not awful by any means - just found them a bit snooty and dismissive. I could have been unlucky though.

No, you're right, on a bad day they can look down their nose at you, but catch them at a quiet moment and they're incredibly helpful. Saturdays are mental in there, you can barely move.

I've not got the cash for their top end stuff, but as I can see their shop from my office they get a fair wedge of my wage each month

They're very good on clothing, masses of stock and not all of it is Assos / Rapha prices.

Depends what you're after really, the other place i hear good stuff about for full bikes is Dauphin cycles at the top of Box Hill, that's not so far. He's supposed to be very good at fitting and recommending the right bike for your style and shape.
