picture of your ride in your signature

I often see people with a link to a pic of their pride and joy. is it easy to do this? if so, how?? i`m certainly no bill gates so laymans terms please

why? what is the point of a small pic that you cant see any detail in?

if it is to big it will be removed.

you can post your ride pics in the correct section.

I have tried! i bought the bike second hand and it came with them grips on! its impossible to get the dirt off

Yeah, real helpful Nick. Right, to put a link in, go to the user control pannel and go down to the box where you write your signature. Then you'll need to host the picture of your bike somewhere and copy the image address. This address should end in .jpg or similar. Then you want to copy this address in the signature box with this at the start of the link and this at the end . You'll need to remove the spaces though. That will show a link of your address. If you want it to say something, like 'My Bike' then put 'My Bike' . Again, remove all the spaces.

The original photo has to be on a webpage,Flickr,pinkbike etc.You can't just copy it from your files.

Another point to add, why does nicklouse not reply when he gets anything wrong? yeah he might of just made a mistake and misread the post, but surely it doesn't take much to reply saying sorry? It's what I would do if I was a mod on a forum.

i`ve got a flikr account and have forgot my login details, might sort out a pinkbike or just another account on flikr... i may be some time

EDIT... i`ve got into my account but no address ending in jpg or similar anywhere to be seen

Click on the pic, you should see an option for all sizes above the pic, click it, scroll down you should see grab the photo`s url. That`s the address you want.

white grips have a single purpose- turn brown and be replaced. still love them though...

And what the hell is everyone jumping on the axe in Nicks back for? The thread title says 'A picture in your sig'. There was clearly some confusion in the thread from the start.

Nick clearly didn't read the post though, he just assumed from the title what the post was about. Yeah it could be a bit misleading, but surely if you where going to help someone you would read the actual post to find out the exact problem? It just seems nicklouse doesn't have the attitude that I would expect from a mod sometimes.
