Anyone got one of their alu bikes?
They seem to be good spec for the money but I'm interested to see what people think especially how they compare to for example the CAAD 9.(ride wise - equipment can be changed!)

Just get a CAAD9. There's no point deliberating.0

everyone goes on about the caad 9 - but is it really that good?0

or rather is it that much better than the canyon to justify it's higher price?0

sadly in newcastle I would have to say that the roads are anything but smooth :-( One of the problems of buying Alu i guess is that there is very little road comfort built in.
From the searches I've done it does appear that the canyon bikes are super stiff - an advantage on those uber smooth german roads but it could be a real issue over here.
Good point about dealing with a German firm.0 -
CAAD9s are fine, their ride is very good.0

It is, I don't know why people think they are harsh. I rode one on some really sh1tty back roads and was frankly amazed!
It felt nothing like other aluminium frames I've ridden, it almost had that buttery feel of steel but was mega responsive and very stiff when up out of the saddle giving it a full dose of QuadPowertm.
I think wheels and tyre choice/tyre pressure have a lot to do with it...
(I rode the CAAD9 with my Zipp Tubulars)...
I was very undecided between a CAAD9 frameset and a Cervelo S2!0
