GT Palomar / Carrera???

hi guys, im after a cheap-ish mtb! im not after anything serious, i used to do a lot of downhill years ago, have still got my old bike but its retired now and in my garage!

im after an "all rounder" that will take some hard off raod riding, but nothing major. just some nice trails form time to time.

ive seen this bike GT Palomar, and wondered what your thoughts of it were? also, ive seen a carrera vengeance (i thinks thats what its called)?

the GT looks like a watered down version of an aggressor, which my Dad used to have!

ive a decent pair of forks that i could upgrade it with?

any ideas or thoughts?

The Carrera has the better parts. Both of them.
