Looks interesting to me, for the sake of ~13 squids, given the conditions I have been delivering mail in most of the last week (and probably will be most of the coming week).
Anyone tried anything like this? Did they help?

Well, they had a few in stock, but they ran out by the end of Wednesday 23rd Decemeber. But by all accounts, those chains are useless on ice, only helping a little on uncompacted snow... :?================

They work well. My wife bought a pair when she was pregnant and we dragged her on a skiing holiday anyway. It meant she could at least get the lifts up and go for walks on the snow and ice (which is nowhere near as much fun as skiing as she reminded me all week and for several years afterwards).0

If you can get hold of a set of Magic Spikers - they're brilliant on snow or ice. Used them over the last week for long walks and no problem - nipped out at lunch just to the sandwich shop and thought I could do without them - big mistake - its like an ice rink out there !0

Wasn't it someone on this forum who put big old sports socks over their shoes? Should imagine they're pretty sticky...
