On line buying experience with a couple of places

I've been using CRC happily of late, and a couple of US on-line shops, but wonder if anyone on here has recent experience with "Total Cycling".

Last time I checked there was some decidedly negative comment about them - anyone think they've improved?

Also, are ProBikeKit any good? Mate here bought some wheels, did ok, but was he just lucky?

Shipping all the way out here to Oz means I'd like to be sure-ish they are good.

Thanks!

I orderd some disc brakes from Probikekit. I needed to return them as I had ordered the wrong rotor. I got a refund the day they recieved them back no questions asked. I thought that was pretty good as it was my mistake. They had delivered them quickly anyway so I think it was all done within a week.

Can't comment on Total Cycling, but Probikekit are very good.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

I have had a fair bit from PBK, never a problem :D
Also bought a fair bit from Ribble & Parker International, very good service, too.

I've used Total Cycling a number of times and found them to be very good. They have competetive pricing with good customer service and no problems with returns either.

Did have one instance of an item being out of stock, but they called to advise of the situation and offered an alternative, or a refund. I decided just to wait for it as I couldn't find it elsewhere, so they shipped the first part of the order immediately, and the out of stock item about a week later.

    Good feedback, thanks!

Might give them both a crack... there's some seriously cheap stuff on offer, none of which I really need, but what the hell, at those prices, who cares??

I started ordering from PBK this past summer. A-OK to the US of A. One return - went smoothly.

  • +1 for Probikekit, deliver very quickly, prices generally pretty good - no complaints. CRC also very good.

Worth checking Merlin Cycles as well - less road stock, but what they do have tends to be really cheap

PBK are great. I spent all my christmas money with wiggle PBK and Ribble, no issues with any of it. Only returned things to wiggle they've always been good.

PBK are one of the better online retailers imo, CRC and Ribble are also good as are Parkers.

    +1 PBK

Some excellent bargains if you keep a look out. Delivery in the UK is very quick, almost always next day - cannot complain as free P+P too.

If you return something within 7 days, an internet or mail order shop has to give a refund

There doesn't have to be any fault in the goods. Some people will order two or more versions of something, and send back the ones they don't like.
  • CRC, Wiggle & PBK mainly, never had a problem.
  • probike kit, crc, and wiggle top choices.
the packaging from wiggle is excellent, and in most cases for me the items arrived the next day even when i specified standard delivery.
crc has more choice and is slightly cheaper than wiggle, although they dont do gor bike wear or some other top brands.
pbk has some very cheap stuff but i find their website a faff.

IME PBK are excellent - good customer service and relatively quick delivery times.

I've stopped buying from Wiggle recently - they never seem to have any stock, despite what their stock levels are saying at the time of purchase. Has anybody else noticed that their prices are not as competetive as they used to be?

I get Wiggle to price match, I have to wait for a reply before ordering but I prefer the service and know I won't have any problems.

Wiggle for customer service. PBK, CRC, Ribble, all good aswell.
I had an issue with Total Cycling a while back, so I don't use them anymore, but that said it could have been a one-off, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in future.

I think Shiny Bikes will go to Oz and they've got good prices.
