My Recently completed Giant Trance X 2009 Custom Build

  • Actually it was. The set back changes the ride position from pretty damn good to utterly bang on.

  • have you ridden the bike with 140mm travel on the forks, if so what was it like? :)

    Love it, thinking of one to, to match my Giant TCR 2 road bike.
    Don't fancy the Carbon one, but alu looks good and only a bit heavier.
    Does in climb well, as here it's UP,UP,UP before the downs.
  • This is my first full sus bike (although I've ridden other ones) but the climbing is amazing. No matter what the gradient you just put it in a low gear and spin and it's as is you're being winched up the hill. Maestro rules.

    I wanted 140mm because that's what the Trance X0 has but I'd honestly say that the front end is so sweetly balanced that I can now understand why Giant spec them with the F120 fork so for most things I keep it at about 120.

    Although, when you're going down, that 2cm can make all the difference. ( As my wife once said!!)
