Got a link to the auction?
Pinnacle are a pretty decent brand, but it'll depend what state it's in.

    Pinnacle are Evans's own brand.

Frames made by a factory in Taiwan the same as many others.

  • I used to have the Tharpu Peak 3.0.

One of the best bikes I've ever owned. Excellent value, well made, I think they look nice too.

Might not have the brand image of other makes, but they are every bit as good,if not better IMO.

Think Kiblams actually had/has one of the Evolution frames so he may be able to give you more info on the specific frame.

I had the Source frame which is essentially the Peak frame without the disk brake bosses, the evolution has the same custom tubing but is made of A7 aluminium instead of A6 (A7 is higher grade)

I have recently changed frames due to the lack of dsk brake bosses, but that is the only reason or the change. The frame lasted a year of my 16stone bulk throwing it around forests every weekend and most of the time with a rigid fork! Very good bikes IMO.

Let's just put it this way; I am yet to find an owner of a Pinnacle bike who didn't/doesn't love them (and trust me, I searched  )
