Evening all,
Interested in the above frameset, going to try one later this month and wondered on any input from people that have them, or test rode one and compared it to other TT frames in the price bracket, such as the Spec Transition, or the cheaper alternatives, like the Planet X Stealth or the Ribble Aero
Cheers

Hello , i have been a fan of Argon 18 bikes for years. Having previously owned a Mercury TT bike , which was a joy to ride. The Mercury was used by a top triathlete at the Hawaii Ironman a few years ago and it/he broke the course record for the bike leg. Last season i traded it in for the E112. More than happy with this machine , ride quality is super. its very stiff too , used it for a few half ironman events and lots of 10's and 25's. Never had any problems with it ever. and it looks like a million dollars too! The 2010 model comes with the red/black colour scheme and its looking even better than the 2009 model.0

I was impressed by the colour scheme of the 2010 e112, had a look at one last tuesday, does look like its worth the money with the large rear end and the colour scheme! Purely froma cosmetic point of view now
Have you ridden any specialised or other TT bike frames, so you can compare
Glad to hear its stiff, as one thing that my current one isn't!0 -
Hey I still ride an Argon 18 Platinum 03', and thoroughly recommend the brand. Great bikes! Go for it mate!0

Have'nt had a ride on the spesh but had a Cube Aerium for a weekend test , also a great bike . It was also lighter than the E112 , designed more for hilly or more technical courses , but does'nt look as good and probably isnt as aero either. The Planet -X is old technology and a heavy old sod of a frame , same goes for the Ribble , dont comprimise on the quality of the bike just to save £££. The Argon will still be a bit more exclusive than all of the others and will probably have a stronger resale value. Just my thoughts...0

There's not that many Argon 18s about and I can count on one hand other A18 owners I have come across, so pretty exclusive all in all, which is nice ....0

hmmm, interesting point about it being heavy ish.
As our local courses are no way near flat.
Compared to the flat andover course (well fast not flat), about 2 mins to 2 mins 30 difference, and out 'sporting' course, is another minute behind time wise.
Have seen a couple of argon's in the past, would love a p3c, but putting aside the frame cost, you see SOOO many around0 -

If you're after a small (but its not 'small') so dont write that off straight away I have a friend who's selling one and lives in Ross of all places too. PM me if you like. Its done 4 10's and 3 25's and is 2009 colour.0

Awesome! Recently bought a 2009 E112. I love it, responsive, stiff and yet very comfortable. My first ride out was a cheeky 2.5 hrs, I only turned back because I had to get to work! It's the first time I've started a night shift with a big smile on my face
The only downside to the purchase - Bloody snow!
Everyone's different but for me this bike is perfect! Roll on IM Switzerland.......“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0 -
pretty much sold on one now to be honest, unless soemthing comes in at an amazing deal
Love the 2010 paintwork lol0
