been looking about at prices for avid elixir 5's and cant beleive the price differences
most shops have then for around 110 each, yet merlin have them for 135 for the pair
how the hell can they offer such a big discount?
was going to get the 180 front and 160 rear seperately but that come to over 200 quid, so will just get the 160 front and rear instead, only other thing i need are a couple of centrelock adaptors and superstar are doing a deal for the pair on those
guess it does pay to shop around :D

Much of Merlin's stuff is OE as it was intended for bike builds rather than for sales as upgrades. This means less or no fancy packaging so it's cheaper. Also OE kit can be of a different standard or not include extras, e.g. after market forks usually come with a shock pump, OE ones usually don't.

Merlin is also a relatively small bricks and motar business with a large web presence, good control of overheads.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result
