Is anyone using Athena? My bike is being fitted with Athena next week and and Ive not found many reviews anywhere. It would be nice to hear anybodies opinions.

There was a decent review in cycling plus a couple of months ago and generally all of the comments were very positive indeed, especially on braking performance and general build quality.
I have seen it up close recently on a new bike build and it is really classy looking, with a slight retro-feel (assuming you have the alloy rather than carbon chainset).
The only negative comments from the tests I have seen relate to the carbon levers. Nothing to do with performance though, just comments that carbon levers look a little odd with the rest of the groupset being shiny metal!
In terms of performance and value though, looks like a really good purchase, I'm sure you'll be pleased!0 -
Thanks for that.
Im going for the Carbon Chainset as I prefer the look of it and it will match the general colours of the frame. It is strange though why they have mixed and matched ally with the carbon. They should offer ally ergos to go with the chainset, Im sure the retro look would appeal to many riders.0 -
Agreed, and I think the carbon upgrade makes good sence0
