Evans delivery times?

Anyone know how long Evans usually take for delivery on Frames? When I ordered their site said free delivery would take 2-3 days so I left it on that. I ordered on the 31st Dec. I gave them a call and they said it could take upto 14 working days depending on if my frame was coming from the store or warehouse! If I had of known that when I ordered I would have paid the extra £3.99!!
Anyone got any history of ordering a frame and how long it took? I guess I am a little impatiant with excitment but the site does state 2/3 days :?

That's like how long is a piece of string - and I haven't had any post for the last 4 days anyway. Ask evans is your best bet.0

When you ordered did it say the item was in stock, if its not then its obviously going to take longer. You also have to remember than a lot of staff will have been on holiday or stayed at home due to the snow, plus all the courier companies are struggling at the moment due to the weather."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Yea it was in stock. I know I am a bit impatiant but when a site says 2-3 days and you are spending a lot of money you expect them to be pretty close to that time. The thing that is really annoying is order status is just Complete... it does not say if and when it was/will be posted so I do not know when it will come. When your working it is hard to get someone to be in all the time every day 'just in case'
Oh well... I will expect it sometime next week if the snow clears up as it seems to be getting worse and worse!0 -
Never ordered a frame off Evans but the various smaller bits and pieces have turned up promptly, sometimes the following morning so no complaints there. I find my experience off the mail order and the shops themselves to be very different...0
