Is this a good idea?

I have been thinking of doing a short trip for a few days into Wales in the summer to visit some of the bike parks that people rave about. I have decided I'll drive, then ride and then move on the next day or maybe day after. I thought about doing Coed Llandegla, then over to Coed Y Brenin and then move down south to Afan forest. But has anybody done something similar or think it's even a good idea? I won't be hitting the hardest trails they have to offer but would like to have a mini biking holiday of sorts.

Its a good idea.. The only downside will be accommodation deals, as a day here and there is more expensive. Weatherspoons have a few lloyds one's in wales and they often do BOGOF's on rooms.. Altarnatively you can sleep in a tent.

What about getting a motor home for a week and sleeping on/near-site?

Awesome. Think I'm going to have to put it into practice :D I hadn't thought of accomodation yet. Motorhome or tent both sound rather good. Off to get some ideas now

plenty of bunkhouses in snowdonia or youth hostels. both cheap options.
