I didn't get one. But its a very impressive bike. I wanted Ultegra and with an iozard this was very expensive.
  • I am tempted with one of these that I just found

    Any thoughts please ???

If you decide to go for it, there's one cheaper here, in red and white:

I bought a blue and white one in large from them in early December, but haven't been able to ride it since then because of the weather! All I can do is look at it in my garage. I paid £1999, before their sale kicked in, but I can't do anything about that now. So, apologies, I can't comment on the ride, but after months of deliberating, I decided it was the bike for me - you'll hardly see a bad word said about them anywhere. One thing about the spec on the one you've shown is the wheels are fulcrum 3s, better than my 5s.
  • Cheers my friend.

Size wise is it big for a L, I am a 58ish usually and wondered about buying one without even sitting on it or riding it.

Just been to mesaure it. I would say it's a shade on the small side for an L. Depends exactly where you measure from and to, but I make the top tube 55cm. I'm 5'11, and my other bikes, with conventional geometry, have 58cm seat tubes, centre to top. I think the official guidance from Wilier is that a Large Izoard fits people between 5'8 and 6' and an Extra Large is for people between 5'10 and 6'2
  • Ok thanks for that.

I don't suppose you know the difference between the Izoard at cyclesurgery and the Izoard Pro Lampre that i detailed ?

By the look of things, just Centaur Carbon groupset, as opposed to my alloy, and Fulcrum 3s, instead of my 5s. I've got the same stem, seatpost and saddle as the Pro. I can't see anything else, but may be mistaken. Cycle Surgery are good at shipping a bike to your nearest store, so you can have a look at it, by the way. The bike I bought was in London, but they brought it to Manchester, which is the nearest to me, in Sheffield.

I bought one last summer and very pleased with it once I got used to the campag gears having been a shimano fan. Also the bike arrived by courier and initially ran rough until sorted by lbs who replaced a damaged derailer hanger. Had to wait seven weeks from new production in Italy and asked if I could change to the Lampre colours but they wanted another £1k. Will post a pic as soon as I,ve figured out what to do.

I had one bought in 2008. The paint chipped off very easily and the white paint started going yellow. Wilier changed the frame no problems. Whilst it was away being sorted I tried a Cervelo RS for the weekend and was so impressed that I eventually sold the Izoard frame. I am 5' 10" with long legs and was sold a large by Cycle Surgery with a 110 mm stem. Knowing what I know I wouldn't say that the guys in the shop were expert bike fitters but the medium would have been very low at the front for me especially for my first road bike. I don't understand why I have heard of two dealers stopping them as a line one being Epic Cycles and the other being one I heard about on this forum through Lagavullan(?)

    Yes. ActivCycles, Corbridge dropped Wilier.

They now have lovely Orbeas in though. 8)

    5' 10 and I have a large. It's a lovely bike to ride, I'd thoroughly recommend it.

I bought mine in September 08 and thought I'd avoided this but over the last few months the headtube and front forks have really discoloured.

I've emailed the retailer explaning the problem - just hope as it's about 15 months old I'm not too late.

You probably know this but the one you detailed in the first link is a Le Roi, quite a different beast to the Izoard ....
