Recommend shed security please

Inspired by Redvee's recommend me a lock thread (no thread hijacking here!), can anyone recommend a chain / lock / ground anchor combination for a shed?
Actually more of a brick outhouse really..

I'm thinking of a chain running between two anchors on each wall through the bike frames - will need at least 4 foot of chain.

Anyone know of any quality non-cycling specific alternatives which may work out cheaper?

you can also get security screws for hinges (they can only be tightened)

Slightly grim suggestion coming up:

My shed is a) falling apart and b) is infested with mice / rats and c) smells foul. I don't go in there, but nor, it seems, do burglars, even in my particularly dodgy hood in london.

I would go for the ED209 model of defensive robot. So long as no steps or heavy caliber weaponry around you should be fine. Just remember, drop the weapons you might be carrying before entering it's field of vision.

Make sure you get a strong bracket for the pad locks. Expensive pad locks are no use if you can hack saw through the bracket with ease.

Install an anchor inside the shed and install an alarm (I riged a personal attack alarm so the pin would be pulled by someone opening the door).

Thanks for all the suggestions - combination of locks, (semi) lethal weaponry and squalor it is.
Sure I cold keep my bikes in the house but I may be sleeping in the shed...

I set a well hard engineering lifting chain into the concrete base of my shed. I padlock this through the main triangles of my bike frames. Of course this would require rebuilding your shed, but just in case that is an option....

I had an old d lock which I remove the lock part from and set just the U part into the concrete block wall of my garage using chem fix. I placed it just below the height of the cross bar so that it is awkward for a scallywag to attack yet easy enough to get a chain or d lock through to secure my bikes. I looked at the various off the shelf anchors and they were either too flimsy or jolly expensive.
