just got a new bike and wondering in how long will it need sevice :?: :?:

    impossible to say but the figure is 4 weeks that bike places give when you get a bike, but can depend on cable wear, brake wear etc.
  • Generally a month or so is about right. If you ride a lot, then say about a month. If you don't ride that much, then maybe even three months. You need the cables to stretch and bed in, thats all the first service should be.

    What bike have you bought?

    I would leave it until your gear shifting gets a bit sluggish and then take it in otherwise it might just sit in the corner of a workshop for a day or 2 and not have owt done to it.

    Depends how long it takes you till you do something stupid on it. Or if you're sensible, about 6 weeks.
