Specialized Epic 06

Hi

I'm looking at purchasing a Specialized Epic 06, however it has the Fox brain shock which is said to be clunky in the transition between being unlocked and locked, any one no any more on it and actually how bad it is?

    There is certainly a marked threshold between locked and active, although the 06 ones were not as bad as the earlier models. The 06 shock has the Brain Fade adjustment so you can adjust how locked locked is if that makes sense!? You can essentially over ride the brain to make it a more trail friendly bike, or have it so solid that it won't unlock without a massive impact.

    See if you can get a ride on one, and if it bothers you.
