Which Hybrid?

Hello Biking Experts,

I'm after a new bike and since the only rough terrain I cover is one or two cattle grids, I thought I'd opt for a hybrid. I'm looking for -

Lightweight but can take the odd bump (I think the roads around us haven't be resurfaced since the Romans built them). I'm not a fan of shocks so I'd prefer not to have them or the ability to lock them. Disc brakes are not essential. Larger 700 tyres would be nice

The bikes I've been looking at are -

Claude Butler Urban 200/300 Claude Butler Mercury Platinum Carrera Subway 2 Trek FX 7.2

Can anybody recommend these or any other bikes within my tight budget?

I had a go on a Subway 8 a while back, very nice indeed, rides like an old mtb really.
