2010 bike discount

Just wondered how much people are getting off their new bikes from the shops. Spoke to someone a few days ago and they got a few hundred off a new Zesty
Eddy Merckx EMX-3
Dolan L'Etape
Cougar Zero Uno
Genesis Core 50
Planet X TOR

    Dealers are usually much more keen to give bits away than a straight discount, try that angle. 10% the value of the bike is a realistic target. It will depend entirely on the bike though, some things are in very short supply this year it would seem, so the dealers have the upper hand!

    If they normally offer credit I think they have to pay a fee to set up the credit agreement, so you might be able to use that as leverage if you're paying up front :wink:

    As njee20 says 10% is normally achievable
