Eugenio Capodacqua has started the new year with an interesting article on doping (by the sounds of things) Rather than go for the big names, he's looked at an unknown and followed up on that a bit

Summarised here

You can get the general idea via a translation engine but Capodaqua continues to tackle it head on.

I wonder what happened to those lawsuits filed against him?

Capodacqua knows his stuff and is usually worth a read.

Things aren't changing in some places, there's never even been a pretence of change in some areas of Italian and Spanish cycling.

The accusations about CONI are a bit worrying.

But when you start reading about juniors getting injected with things they don't know about for "recovery" you really question whether it's any different now.

I've often wondered if it would be better to concentrate on stamping out doping in the lower ranks so it's not the norm when people turn pro. Would probably take a generation to have any effect but I wonder if it would.
