Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I have a set of rockshox revelation 456 dual air, over this xmas period i changed my frame which suits a shorter travel fork. My query is should i :
Get the rs pushed serviced and reduced in travel
or
Get some fox float or talas.
Both options cost around the same.
Opinions please Cheers

You can reduce the forks at home with all travel spacers.0

Where can you get a Fox Float for the same price as getting a fork push'd?0
-
Pushing the forks via tf tuned is around £170 plus postage there and back and travel spacers, it all comes in around £210.
I can get some fox forks in very good cond (not new) for around £240.
I probably could do the travel reducing at home but the forks are in dire need of a service. I don't have the facilities at home to do a service, so off to tf they would have to go.0 -
Ah right, I thought you meant new
As long as your forks are in good condition (apart from needing the service) I'd get it push'd - it'll feel better than new!0 -
Thats what i was thinking, plus i have never had fox forks before.0

I'd still have a crtack at servicing at home. Are easy to strip, and just use basic o rings if you need to replace seals.0

I like fox... but they're no better than rockshox. and rockshox are cheaper....
sell the revs and get some Rebas if you don't want to service the revs.0 -

another +10 -
ive used fox and rs forks and i prefer rockshox as there easy to repair/service and the bushes are a lot better than fox, my old floats and vans had play in the buses wich is apparently normal but feels terrible.0

keep the rs, and get them pushed. apparently pushed forks are better than new forks.I said hit the brakes not the tree!!
