I'm looking for some lightish tyres for my new build, ideally they need to be white as I am a bit of a colour co-ordination tart...

Also can anyone recommend some tubes that are light but aren't going to puncture every 5 seconds (don't want latex)

cheers

Wouldn't go down the white tyres route if I was you. Been there done that. It'll look great for the final build photos you stick in the Your Roadbikes forum but once you take it outside it'll be less fun. If you have white on your frame the discolouring of the tyres eventually looks disgusting against the brilliant white of the frame.

Unless you're putting these on a early batch 2008 Wilier Izoard - where the frame will slowly fade to match your new creamy/yellowing tyres - then its not worth doing (in my opinion).

Hmm you could have a point there! I guess I could go for red tyres...maybe..

Does anyone know if the above tyres are any good though...I really don't know what to look for in a road tyre (more familiar with mtbs)

I heard schwable ulretmo r1s were good but then I also heard there have been problems with them...

Any advice will be really appreciated.

    cheers

    White tyres are ghey

    Rubinos aren't light

Get some Open Corsas if you want some nice riding light tyres.

    Hi

Just looked up the open corsas on wiggle (open corsa evo cx) and it says they are 230g and are £35 each. Wiggle says the rubino pros are also 230g but these are only £20.

    I'm confused

Rubino Pros are very good tyres - good rolling performance, good puncture protection and around 240g. You can't really go wrong for around £20 each...
