Sabbath September Geometry Question

Hi. I'm currently thinking of purchasing either a sabbath september/silk road or a VN yukon/euros. (just need to decide on whether mudguard clearance is required)

I'm about 178cm tall which puts me in the 55/56 effective top tube range. The 56 yukon looks good with a 55cm effective top tube, which is also the same for the 56 euros.

However, how does the medium september/silk road compare to this? The website shows this as a 55cm top tube, but a couple of forum responses show them as 56cm. I'm not sure which one is correct?

Can someone possibly let me know what the geometry is for CTC/CTT on the seat and top tubes please, as the sabbath site doesn't go into quite the same detail as the VN information.

they all look very good bikes with excellent reviews from lots of owners - just need to try and make my choice now. need an excuse not to start putting planet X, enigma, etc on the short list!!! decisions... decisions...

Many thanks.

PM Greg Roche, he owns the company.
  • Hello,

Silk Road is 55cm effective, September very slightly shorter because of the more relaxed head tube angle...

Naturally, the Sabbath options are far superior in my totally unbiased opinion.

We're currently working on a range of studded snow tyres and an internal hand heating system for the handlebars. The saddle heater comes as standard on all bike this week... but that's only a temporary fix while we work on a special microclimate switch which will ensure all our customers ride in gentle sunshine all year round at the flick of a switch.

    Cheers,

    Greg

PS - For clarity, the first sentence above is totally accurate, the last paragraph is total drivel.

Almost had me going there for a minute Greg lol doh!
  • :D That made me chuckle..

I think around the 55cm is just about right for me. Mainly because I currently use a medium cinelli xperience which has a 54.5cm effective top tube. A 56cm effective top tube is probably a tad too long, so I should be ok with either one.

Time to flip a coin and see what happens!!!!

    Cheers.

    Dave.
  • You will not go wrong in buying a Sabbath! I have a Silk Road, it's a fantastic bike.

As you can see Greg is more than helpful and quick to assist. Put your coin away and make the phone call to Macclesfield.........
