Piece of pi55.... apart from the slicing the melon in two...... strewth, that is a bummer.

  • An ex-iron man mate of mine did a rather longer version of that, 5 days and nights strait. No sleep. Towards the end he was having hallucinations whilst paddling his canoe.

What drives people to think these things are a good idea?

I believe it is with a ceremonial Claymore.....

To be honest, this is not that far up the road from me, and the Rob Roy Challenge that I have done/will be doing goes round a lot of Loch Tay.

Quite fancy it, but I am not a swimmer.....

Looks a little tame by Iron Man standards, especially the cycle...

I hate running, plus with monroes it's practically all hills

the swimming is simple enough for me but will be crazy cold

+1. The cycle comes after the run too. The legs might wonder WTF is going on after getting out of the water, but you'll soon get over that.

    Looks good fun though!

  • If there was the option to not do the running that would be excellent! Do races exist that are swim/kayak/bike?

Dunno. Check out the calendar on the British Triathlon website.

I wholeheartedly agree with the concept. Flat feet means running is not an option for me :/

You can do the event as a relay. With at least 2 members of the team doing each leg. Sounds good.
