Disc brake needs shimming?

The rear brake disc on the bike has always had a slight wobble such that I have to adjust the pads to be wider apart for them not to catch - much wider than the front. When spinning the rear wheel and viewing from behing the bike the rear disc clearly wobbles from side to side. Is there a technical solution or do they just need shimming or are they likely warped?
It's never been a problem before, but with this ice I'm using the rear brake a lot more now.
Bike is a Focus Mares Disk 2009 and has "Shimano R505 mechanical disk-brakes" fitted.

if its the disc wobbling it is probably warped unless the hub is skew for some reason, try putting the front disc onto the back wheel and see if that also wobbles and you should have our answerAnd now you know, and knowing is half the battle

Will do, thanks. How long *should* that take me and is there a spanner rating?0

If they are 6 bolt discs it should take about 5-10 mins, just make them as tight as possible and tighten the bolts on opposite sides, as shown near the bottom of this guide.

have a read of the links in the tech link sticky in the MTB tech section they give ways to straighten discs. there is also a way on Parktools.
they dont need shiming."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Nice find. I'll have a look tomorrow and maybe try the adjustable spanner technique.0
