Garmin 305 won't power up

says it all.

I've had it on charge for a few hours. there is no response. plugging into the mac does nothing either

    I had the same thing a couple of years ago. Call Garmin and get an RMA number, then send the unit to them. I got it back fixed, within a week. (Ask them to try and recover your ride history if it's important, they sent mine on a cd). Their customer service is excellent.
  • Its not the easiest thing to do but you have to hold down the "reset" and "mode" buttons simultaneously then push the on/off button while holding them. It should then restart, it happens to mine periodically, now I know what to do its nowhere near as stressful!!!

    Mine did the same a month ago, did this and it powered up :)
