Bike Insurance

After some much needed advice.
With a family keen on cycling we have now amassed quite a collection of bikes in our (locked) garage. However, the problem of insuring them has arisen.
It would appear that many insurance companies will only insure a maximum of 3 bikes or for a total value of £1500. How have others gotten around this? With 6 bikes needing to be covered, what is the best (and cheapest) way of dong this?
Any particular companies better than others? Has anyone found home insurance that would cover this? Saw one quote for £500 and that was only for a total of 3 bikes!
Any help greatly appreciated.

+1 You are covered up to £4000 without any problems. Its worth getting photos of your bikes particularly if you've upgraded the specs.
Unfortunately we got burgled just before x-mas so had to claim on our policy and they have been excellent0 -
You can usually declare items of high value against your policy, you could declare your higher value bikes as high value items.
