I am planning on building a new winter/light touring bike and like the look of both these framesets.
Does anybody have some experience of the them or possible alternatives.

I've been riding custom built Casseroll for few months now and I dont think you can go wrong with it.
Handsome, comfortable, with masses of tyre clearance and spot-on neutral handling.
It's good enough for me to be the all year round bike0 -
I had an Aravis. Nice enough frame (had mine built up with mostly Ultegra) but nothing special looks wise.More problems but still living....0

Thanks for the response, the Casseroll is looking like the favourite.
Mind you the Planet X Ti Sportive is tempting with an extra 20% off this week.0 -
The casserol is loveley but a bit pricey. How about a bob jackson audax club?Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car
Vitus Sentier VRS - 20170 -
Can't vouch for the bike, but Byers built me some top wheels (robust commuters); always a consideration.
Hope this helps in the decision-making.

don't wish to hijack the post but what s the max tire size you can fit on a casserol?0 -
For the price of those frames, you could probably get a Bob Jackson, Woodrup etc made and painted to your requirements....0

I run 700x35mm Schwalbe Kojaks and there's still some room left. I think you could safely go up to 38-40mm.
Have a look. http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Barteos1/ ... NATOGREEN#0
