new rear derailleur????

hi guys,

just changed my chainset and opted for the SLX version need a new rear derailleur now, should i buy SLX one or get the XT version???

    depends what rear mech you've already got. If its half decent, id think about putting the money towards new shifters, as in my experience, they're the things that make all the difference. I had deore shifters then got SLX and the tranformation is incredible.

    just thought sod it and ordered xt set!, shifters and mechs £130 not too bad i dont think hope they are worth it???!!!

    Find myself agreeing with clwydian_rider92 again. Shifters are more important than the mech anyday. I'd go deore mech and XT shifters if money was tight. That said I've actually done what you've done and gone XT / XTR mechs and XT shifters. The mechs are purely for bling value :lol:
