Need some cheap wheels for an old bike and looking at the 2 options above - any recommendations or experience of either

Need to be sturdy and able to cope with harsh roads/surfaces

cheers

would go for the Comos- stronger, more durable wheel I would say.

Shimano R500. Great value wheels. Cheap, reliable and can cope with some rough surfaces as well.
I got a set on a new bike I bought and they were excellent for the money.

Merlin are selling the R550 - the model above the R500 - for not a lot more : £90 rather than £65.

These are obviously new-old-stock, as it's been replaced by RS20 for a year or two now, but it's a very good wheel for the money.
