Possibly a bit of snow, probably lots of ice. Forecast if for more cold weather.

  • thought this might be the case, Do you know any trails in the park that are a little more shelted and prodom south faceing, snow I dont mind, but ice is a pain.

Was walking in the brecons today and the paths were icey as hell, needed crampons. Im assuming this may be the same on some of the fire road accents.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi rode the penhydd trail yesterday it was fab no snow or ice ,but was told there was snow up on the whites level which will be frozen solid by now i suspect, going to do the wall myself to mo hoping will be ok
  • Quick conditions update.

Road whites level this morning, the top part was snow covered, but not iced up, infact it was pretty grippy stuff, the lowers sections were a mixture of crusty snow and mud, all grippy and good fun

Penyhdd in the afternoon, top section thru the switch backs was really really icy, really hard work to stay on, the rest of teh trail from sidewinder (i think thats whats its called), was crusty snow/ice and mud, all pretty grippy

Was a great day in the park, nice and quiet but was bloomin cold!!!
