Cav – the numbers game

Another thing that has stuck out for me in 'Boy Racer' is Cav's disdain for Sports Scientists and the fact that if there wasn't any 'old school' coaches out there, we wouldn't be sat here discussing him! Thanks goodness some people have some common sense.

But it got me thinking - are there any other successful pro's (current and retired) who didn't 'hit the numbers' in the lab but still had great careers?
