MTB wheels- what will £80 get me?

I have a Scott endorphin which I am refurbing- currently has old (2000/2001ish) XT hubs, and mavic x221 rims. Rims are worn to the point of almost wearing through, and hubs are very rough. In 9 years a lot has changed in the bike world, could I spend £80 and get a comparable (in weight and strength) set of wheels? I will be keeping the v brakes on this bike.

For the money, I'd be looking at Deore Wheelset from Merlin
or
475 hubs on WTB Dual Duty rims from Wooly Hat Shop
Both decent wheelsets within your budget.0 -
In the end I went for these from the woolyhatshop.com

Won them through their ebay auction site for £68 delivered. I was seriously looking into buying the bits and building the wheels myself, but I couldn't buy the bits for the price I have paid. Will post on here and let people know how they are when they arrive.0 -
that's an AWESOME price, good going.0

ive been using these and find they are great, take a lot of abuse as youd expect for a freeride set also i'm on or close to 100kg, dont freeride but do agressive xc etc.
down side is they are a tenner over your budget!

I would have liked a set of those but they dont have a 20mm front hub, which I thought was kinda odd for FR wheels.0
