Scott Addict

Hi I was hoping that someone could give me the run down on the Scott Addicts. I would like to know if there is any difference between the various frames i.e. R4, R3, R2 etc. I have been told by a fella that there is minimal difference between them based on the frame alone.
He also told me to look at the CR1 as it is a brilliant frame and for the money it will e very difficult to beat.
If there are any experts in the Scott range out there then please give me a shout. The bike will be used to race in the 2010 season but I'm on a tight budget which is why I would like to know about the cheaper frames.
Thanks,
Richard

I've had a R1 for a bit now & can recommend then. To be honest I don't know the exact differences between each one. Some have integrated seat posts & some don't, likewise some have an integrated BB.
The R1 grabbed the headlines due to is light weight... less than 800 grams! I would guess the rest of the range isn't far behind tho.
I would guess there is some quality heirarchy at work as the R1 is a £5k bike & the R4 is a £2k machine. The £3k price difference between models will be more than groupsets & finishing kits??
Speak to Paul @ Westbrook Cycles, he knows his stuff & they usually have a good stock of Addicts at good prices.0
