Has anyone ridden this? How does it compare to Hillingdon? I prefer road racing to crits and have been told Upavon feels more like a road race. Is this so?
Thanks,

Not in my opinion. It is more open so less like a road race as you can see riders all the time.0

It's also 2 hours drive away for a 9am race start. I'll stick with HillingdonJibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0 -
OK, thanks. I'm not a morning person anyway!!0

(am is too early for winter series as the early morning fog can linger and sun not warm enough to get rid of it or the ice so would not risk driving that far for a winter chipper race
Bring on the summer !!0 -
Upavon is a really good course. No sharp corners, and a long gradual climb to the finish line. The circuit is just over 2 miles each lap. It can be tough when windy (it is on salisbury plain), and also tends to be very cold- especially at 9am on a saturday morning!0

After Andy's personal reports of it today with the hill at the finish, I'm tempted to go down myself next week, sounds like my sort of circuit... At least an uphill finish sounds more sensible for me than trying to solo away at the bell at Hillingdon like I did this week.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0
