  • Whats the point?

Most will allow you to set alarmed bands so you know where you're training.

Hi I have a Polar CS 300 watch which was about £100, including bike mount & speed sensor. You can set it to display HR in % or bpm.

I have one of these, too. Very good and does what you want.

I've also got the Polar CS300 and it's excellent except the sonic download which is useless. However, you can manually download the info in 60 seconds so it's not a big loss.

  • I use a handlebar mount Polar for road bike but for mountain bike I use a Sigma PC15 (wrist). It does'nt cost much at all and has worked great so far. Sigma products are a little harder to set up than Polar in my opinion but they work well and does give percentage. Knowing heart rate has helped alot..for myself anyway.

The Percentage bar is a bit small, but is useable. For £14 or whatever it is, you cant really go wrong...
