New rear shock

Hello all,
I'm looking at replacing my rear shock and wanted some advice. I mainly ride pretty flat trails, roads and 6 times a year afan or cwm carn. RS Monarch 3.3 or RS Ario 2.2
Monarch - 3 floodgate settings
Ario - Lockout
I am a bit worried the floodgate wont be enough for the roads? My current rear shock does not have lockout. I have a HT I am planning to get rid of and just keep the FS.
Thanks.

The Moarch is locked on the firmest setting I believe.0

Hopefully it is but nowhere actually says 'lockout'.

Be aware the Ario does not fully lock either and will move with big efforts and hits.
RS terminolgy for the shocks is rather confusing, as the forks use Floodgate to adjust the blowoff force, with a seperate progressive compression adjuster. It seems to me the floodgate on the shocks is simply a compression adjuster, from open, to locked.0 -
Thanks for the help SS. I'll go for the Monarch.0

Chain Reaction are doing some seriously good deals on Rock SHox and Fox rear shocks at the moment.0
