Bit confused. Not experienced with the modern shifters.

Is this for rear or front derailleur?

I thought it was for rear derailleur mentioning 9 spd alot, but not so sure as i see mention of 2-3 sp, and LH is usually for the front derailleur.

if you read the description, it say 'LH front' which seems clear enough..??

Although the pic does show a right hand shifter...

You say you have not had much experience of 'modern' shifters, but this technology has been commonplace for around 20 years. Do you mind me asking how old you are..?

Yes, wanted to confirm 100%. No wonder for the discount.

It may of been around, but i been using bar end shifters fine and had no urge to switch when they high price, haven't bought a complete bike only custom builds.

    Thank you.

STI came in 1990. Yes, call it 20 years :)

I been into STI but I didn't use STI on road bikes to save some weight.
