OT: NHS organ donor registration online

As a quick New-Year's-Resolution-time reminder: if you want to be an organ donor but haven't registered, you can do it online at http://www.uktransplant.org.uk/ukt/. You can still get a donor card but if you've registered then it doesn't matter so much if your card gets lost, damaged or forgotten.

    Good post, msw - something I've meant to do for ages - well, since I lost my donor card about 3 decades ago - and seeing the thread made me go ''why not do it now?''

    Can't help thinking though, that if a bus takes me out on Maryhill Road, may not be too many organs left in a fit state to donate! Also doing my best to make sure my liver is not transplantable!!

    However, done it now.... great cause. May even think about giving blood in the new year, but just a thimbleful......

    Hey Wallace, great minds (on this occasion, anyway) am thinking of giving blood too :lol:

    Just hoping my online registration is NOT a signal for my lights to be put out prematurely :wink:
