Hi guys,
am looking for a set of tyres for my TT bike. I have my tubulars for competitions. I have a pair of bontrager x-lite clinchers for my 'day to day' wheels but i need to get some tyres.
In the past ive just used to GP 4000 and am willing to do so again, but i just wondered if there is anyother recommends or good deals.
First post....go easy

I ride on GP4000s all year round. Very happy with them. I can't see me changing to anything else for a while.0

However I don't understand your original statement about 'day to day'. Are you saying you use your TT bike as your daily bike?Expertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

mich pro race 3. (They're probably faster than the tubulars you are using as well.)
In fact, what are your 'race wheels and tubular'?0 -
Krylion Carbons for me over the last 2+ winters and very happy with them - super grippy0

sorry, a bit confusing, on my Trek, i have mavic cosmic clinchers. I use them all the time.
I have a lot of Tri competitions coming up so i am starting to do more regular long distance rides on my TT bike and for that reason, i dont want to use my tubulars,on a weekly basis, id rather keep them for my 'competition/race' wheels
cheers

I only do Triathlon racing or competitions. My TT bike is a Planet X pro stealth Carbon.
The Wheels are the 82/101 combo tubulars, but dont want to use them all the time
thanks

+1 Krylion carbons (230ish g) or PR3 (200ish g)Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

On my front wheel I have a Continental GP 40000 but on the rear I've got an older Continental Ultra Gatorskin . Front seems fine but the rear seems to slide around a lot in the wet. I was thinking of replacing it with another GP{ 4000 but then wondered if there was any merit in a Continental 4 Seasons especially as the roads round here at the moment are extremely wet due to melting ice and water running off the fields etc.Two wheels good, four wheels bad0

ice, fields? that sounds bliss..
I would put a GP4000 on the rear also.
Fortunately i dont have that issue out here in Abu Dhabi...just the intense heat, dust and mad mad drivers
