Hi, I have just bought a new Ibis mojo and went for my first ride yesterday around Whites level. We completed the up and started on Windy point where my rear hanger broke whilst changing gear.
I supose my Q is does anyone know if this has been a problem with these bikes or maybe just very very unlucky( only a total of say 4 miles)

Unlucky, most likely.
Did you use a bad gear combo that the mech couldn't handle ie chain too short for it?0 -
The bike came straight from the bike shop that put it together - picked it up xmas eve and went out for fist ride on sunday.

If the chain is too short for the large/large combo it can rip the mech and hanger off. Not a combo you should use anyway.0

What length mech is on it? Should be a long one for full suspension 3x9 gearing! If it's a medium then get the shop to fit a longer one and tell them off for being thick!Rule 64:
Cornering confidence generally increases with time and experience. This pattern continues until it falls sharply and suddenly.
