Just wondering whether there are any riders on here that are familiar with the XC trails at Stoke Heights (aka Stoke Park Wood, Bishopstoke). I'm looking for new places to explore!
If you do know the area, I would really appreciate someone to just show me around the good bits.
Thanks in advance,
Pete

I build trails here. We build North Shore, up to 15 ft dirt jumps and all sorts.0

Ah great thanks! How would you describe the riding? I'm more into singletrack so am keen to know whether it drains well. I know that Lordswood (NW Soton) it usually horribly muddy for the majority of the year, hence my want for a change!0

pete the woods recently underwent 'harvesting' there used to be a great little loop i rode at night, but sadly the heavy equipment trashed it, i was there 3 days ago after a year break and it's still in shocking condition. The problem seems to be that none of the trimmed branches have been cleared away meaning most of the old tracks have large sections covered in a lattice of branches. I cleared some but the task is huge.
That said the dirt jump area is pretty damn good, seriously nice stuff crafted there, had a few runs through much to the disgust of some dog walkers (you'd think the woodland was just for them)0
