SRAM front mech issue.....bit of an odd one.....
Strange one, this....
I've just fitted Force 10sp shifters and Rival mechs to my best bike (VN Chinook) - and everything seems properly set up and running nicely.
Out on the road, the rear works perfectly and the front mech shifts the chain up and down on the front with no problem. However, put the bike on the rollers and it is a different story.
On the rollers, the bike simply will NOT shift up onto the big ring - no matter how far or how hard you push the lever. It tries, but the big ring (a 50t) simply will not pick up the chain.
On the road = fine - on the rollers = not fine.
Is there any rational explanation for any of this - or is my garage haunted..??
Seriously though, I just don't get it and I'm wondering if I've missed something obvious...
Any suggestions welcome...

Surely the rollers will move both wheels? Turbo trainers only let the back wheel move.jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.
FCN 8 off road because I'm too old to go racing around.0
