Also could get a Merlin MALT4, RL Tig SL, Guess XC01 (the lightest £400 frame available), Viper, OnOne Scandal.0

You could even go for Full-sus if you wanted.
I've had one of these before and it's a brilliant frame. Reasonably light, superb shock, great XC geometry at an AWESOME price.
Or a Charge Duster?0 -
giant xtc, most aggressive geometry for road tooCarbon is a mans best freind0

go for the kinesis xc pro 2 with the carbon ends, comfy fast and light, and on sale now by the looks of it http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=10497
then spend the remaining £175 on nice kit job done0 -
I'd definately look at the Scandal, I didn't really get on with mine as I was asking it to be an allround trail bike but at 100mm it was brilliant, fast and accurate and weighs nothing. I think the Kinesis may actually be slightly heavier, though there doesn't seem to be a frame weight for the 26er Scandal on the on one website any more.Uncompromising extremist0
