My employer (East Kent Hospitals) is finally moving on this scheme, hopefully in January.
Rumour is that they are going to specify Halfords as the supplier but having spoken to the guys in my LBS (Activ, Folkestone) it seems that they can process the order for me. Thing is having looked at the posible models I can get either the Trek 1.5 shod with Tiagra from LBS or the Boardman Team with Sram Rival from Halfords.
Which one would be best?

How is your LBS going to process the order ? In our Halford's scheme we complete an agreement specifiying the value of a letter of credit, which is a bit like a gift voucher and is supplied by, and is specific to, Halford's. You then troll along to a branch and buy the bike you have lusted after using the letter of credit. If it's from a supplier they don't normally stock then they have a special orders department.0
