Saying that, I would have recorded it had I realised it was on

It's on this COMING Sunday (16th Oct). Set your recording device!

BBC1 23:45 according to the EPG on my PVR, which is now set to record the film.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Thanks for the heads up! I've been waiting for this film to be on for what seems like ages. Probably since the start of this thread in 2009!

Makes you think, if they put it on that late why don't they just turn off the transmitters and save the wasted carbon from powerstations.
To err is human, but to make a real balls up takes a super computer.

Just for anyone who hasn't seen it who feels the above is a sign that it is a quality film about bike racing - it isn't, it's a crock of cliche ridden poo like a cycling version of Rocky IV but fun all the same.
  • Has there ever been a decent film about bike racing though?
American Flyers is probably in the "so bad it's good" category. Agree it's a bit pish. Guilty pleasure?
I've set sky to record it but won't be watching it with Mrs zippy.

    Breaking Away.

It was written by the same person as American Flyers a few years earlier, but is much better and won him an Oscar. It's viewed as something of a minor classic.
