Guide to changing forks??

Hi Guys,
I will shortly be swapping a pair of forks over on my bike, and although i have got a rough idea of what to do, i just don't know the details...etc So i just wondered if anybody could point me in the direction of a good guide (step by step is best!) for me to follow??

Ok thanks guys!
Also, i should probably ask, is it reccommended to change a headset when swapping forks, because the headset on the bike is now a couple of years old, and is not what you'd call an amazing headset tbh! So would you advise changing the headset, if you do could anyone recommend a budget one??

Just put the crown race onto the new forks.

Just don't do what I did with a new pair of rebas and put the headsetspacers on then mark the steerer for cutting and then very carefully cutting where it was marked.........

not noticing that they were now quite a bit too short due to the fact that I'd forgot to add the stem into the equation :oops:
