I have a Pompino SS bike and a Ridley Crossbow. I have road 700x23 on the Pompino and 700 x 32 for cross which my season has just ended. I'm looking for slightly softer running tyres for the Pompino and a firmer/faster ride for the Ridley now that mud isn't the terrain.

Can you recommend a tyre type that will be best to ride on the road in the winter please. I was thinking 700 x 25. Something with tread. Cost wise mid range and above. I'm going to try and take the advantage of the sales. :D
