Forgive my ignorance lads here.

Was looking at my shock (on the bike i've not ridden, Commencal Super 4.3)

The float R seems to be quite low budget.

There's Fox DHX 5 air shock for sale on here for £120 which i'm seeing as being a much more expensive shock in retail prices.

However i'm also thinking it has a lot more travel than my 100mm Float R.

Would this be an issue ?

Would they even be swappable ?

Would it be worth it ?

Have i lost the plot ?

you need the same i2i and stroke or you will have issues.

travel is something a biked has not a shock. the shock can determine how much travel a frame might have but the frame design is most likely to do that with bit hitting other bits and changes in angles.

PS the DHX air shocks are not that good.

leave the float r on the bike as it won't make much difference if you do want to improve the shock though you can't go much wrong on a rp23 or a monarch 4.2

send the float r to tf tuned and have them tune it to your weight riding style and bike.
